1. ガチャガチャってなに？ / What Is Gachapon?

ガチャガチャは、カプセルに入った小さなおもちゃやグッズを販売する自動販売機です。コインを入れてハンドルを回すと、ランダムでアイテムが出てきます。

Gachapon are vending machines that dispense small toys or items inside capsules. You insert coins, turn the handle, and receive a random item.

「何が出るかわからない」という要素が、この遊びの最大の特徴です。

「ガチャガチャ」という名前は、ハンドルを回すときの音（ガチャ）と、カプセルが出てくる音（ガチャ）から来ています。

The name “gachapon” comes from the sounds the machine makes: gacha when you turn the handle, and pon when the capsule drops.

アニメ文化も一緒に楽しみたいなら秋葉原、
とにかく大量のガチャを体験したいなら池袋がおすすめです。

If you want to enjoy anime culture along with gachapon, go to Akihabara.
If you want to see a huge number of machines in one place, Ikebukuro is the better choice.
